Atomic Bomb Movie Blog

An atomic bomb is a bomb that produces explosive energy, by means of nuclear fission. An example of two atomic explosions were in the end of World War II with the bombing of Hiroshima Japan, the bomb dropped in Hiroshima was called Little Boy, and killed 70,000. The second bomb that was dropped was at Nagasaki, and was called Fat man, 42,000 were killed and 40,000 went missing. Also the United States was the first country in the world to successfully develop nuclear weapons, the United States was also the first country to use these weapons of mass destruction against another nation. When a nuclear bomb goes off the results are catastrophic, some effects are it produces mushroom clouds which spread radiation and radioactive debri, and the thermo nuclear wave that it sends out can burn things really bad. In order to insure that a nuclear bomb will work properly and do its job, nuclear bombs are tested in remote locations, there are three classes in which nuclear testings are classified, atmospheric, underground, and underwater. The first atomic test was initiated by the United States at the Trinity site on July 16, 1945, ever since the United States developed working nuclear bombs, the race for other nations to have the same capabilities geared up even faster, especially with the Soviet Union in the time of the Cold War, were both sides tried to create stockpiles of weapons faster than the other.

Will Iran Pull out of the Nuclear Treaty

On Sunday, Iran renewed its threats to leave the NPT, also just known as the Nuclear Treaty. Iran made it clear that if its nuclear program is not resolved peacefully, than it will put a final end to the inspections of its nuclear facilities and withdraw its signature from the NPT, therefore making sanctions if they were put into place, not as effective as they would have been. Iran's president also said that they have the right to pull out of the Nuclear Treaty, if they feel threatened, or if there rights are violated. Iran still continues to say that the enriched uranium is for a peaceful reason and nothing more, both France and England said that they hope the U.N. will decide what to do with Iran by next week.
